For the outdoor enthusiast: Sedona’s spectacular scenery makes this a great destination for outdoor adventure. Strap on your hiking boots and hike some of our more than 100 miles of trails. Mountain bikes are another great way to explore our area. Even the casual rider can feel safe on a 3.7 mile ride on wide paths and gently sloping red gravel that begins at Bell Rock pathway which is less than ½ mile from Adobe Village Graham Inn. Serious cyclist can explore the many challenging single track trails off of Bell Rock pathway. For a less strenuous, but equally exciting way to explore Sedona, try a bird’s eye view of Sedona from a biplane, or helicopter or hot air balloon! If you prefer to keep you feet closer to the ground, try one of the many jeep or ATV tours. They are guaranteed to get your adrenalin pumping! Sedona also has many swimming holes and our own natural slick rock water slide at Slide Rock State park.
For the Hopeless Romantic: Nothing sets the mood for romance like a getaway to a place as beautiful as Sedona. Your adventure could start with a hot air balloon ride over the Verde Valley with views of our spectacular Sedona Red Rocks at sunrise. Then it’s off for a luxurious spa date with soft music and a couple’s massage. For an afternoon of romantic adventure, try touring our wine country. There are many good wineries. Why not pick up a bottle of wine and have a picnic by the creek. One of the best times of day in Sedona is Sunset. The Red Rocks light up at this time of day! An evening of romance often begins with a great dinner. Sedona has more than its fair share of exceptional places to eat…that’s a good thing for you! For the Arts Aficionado: Sedona enjoys a bustling arts community with more than 200 visual artists with a variety of mediums and styles. Sedona’s annual art event, the Sedona Arts Festival, has more than 120 artists showcasing their work. Another not-to-miss event is the monthly 1st Friday Gallery Tour held from 5-8 p.m. At the 1st Friday Gallery Tour there are artist receptions, demonstrations and workshops along with a free trolley ride that shuttles guests to different studios and galleries. The next day is followed by the Jerome 1st Saturday Art Walk. Sedona is also rich in the area of performing arts. Not-to-miss events include the Red Rocks music festival, Sedona International Film Festival, Sedona Bluegrass Festival and the Sedona Arts Festival.
For the Serenity Seeker: Sedona will make you feel connected with nature, even if you are not a believer in the area’s energy vortexes. Many believe Sedona’s vortexes are strong energy centers. Bell rock and Cathedral rock are reported to have an electric charge. Red Rock Crossing and Airport mesa are reported to have a magnetic charge. Boynton Canyon is reported to have a combination of the two. Even for the skeptic, vortex tours offer the scenic beauty of Sedona’s most popularly photographed areas. Sedona’s psychics and spiritualists offer chakra balancing, palm and taro readings, aura cleansing and past life regressions.
